  1. Would you mind sharing what oils you use for depression and anxiety? I
appreciated this video very much as I am someone who struggles with post
partum depression with every child and a lot of anxiety daily. It was such
a good reminder of how much we really do have to rely on God every day to
    get us through! Thanks again!

  2. Thank you Dana for sharing about your postpartum depression story. I have a
4 month old, baby # 5 and I believe I am struggling with it a little bit.
As I watched I had tears rolling down my face. You and your family are such
an inspiration to me and our family. I feel like we are going through very
similar journeys right now in a lot of areas. I do myself have to be
careful after a few good days not to become prideful its only through
Christ I can do anything and to rely on him totally. I am not superwoman.
Even though on those good days I feel like I can take on everything. I have
to be careful not to over commit myself to things while I’m having a
fabulous day.Your video of God’s strength not yours was also very
encouraging. Thank you for pointing us to Christ. Blessings sister in
    Christ :)

  3. Dana, you are brave to share your story. I endured a short period of
postpartum after my second child was born. I also did not see a doctor
because of the same reason – I didn’t want to go on anti depressants. It
was a tough time, but I had family who helped me through it. I know you
are not near a lot of your family, but I am thankful you have a church
family you can hopefully rely on at least a little – even if it’s just for
prayer support. I currently battle with a milder form of depression called
dysthymia along with social anxiety as a result of some traumatic
experiences. I do not take medications for it, but I do get counseling
which is helping tremendously. We can do all things with Christ, and we
need to remember that sometimes God gives us trials to develop our
character and prepare us for something else down the road. It is a thought
I struggle with sometimes – often saying that I know God only gives us what
we can handle, but He must know something that I don’t know because I don’t
always feel like I am capable. But then I realize, with God, I am capable,
and sometimes He blesses me with other people to carry the load. Praying
    for you!!!

  4. I had it with my first one and I had horrible thoughts go through my head.
It was awful! I thought there was something wrong with me. I’m sorry you
went through this. Prayer and Gods word is so important. Talking about it
    helps so much!

  5. Listen to LeCrae! He’s a worship rapper! ❤️
Something else that might help you is to juice with a juicer or blend with
a vitamix. It’s so helpful when Gods wonderful foods are in your body.
Thank you for making this video! Love ya! I will add you to my prayers!

  6. Dana thank you for your honesty and openness in this video. You are doing
so well and I know you will get through this. I had PPD after my second
baby for a short time, it was a struggle, but prayer and friends helped.
Depression is something I have always dealt with and it runs in my family.

  7. Dana you’re very brave to share your struggle. Thank you for allowing God
to use you. I’m praying for you and claiming a victory in Jesus name!!

  8. Dana, Although we have different religious beliefs, I too have a spiritual
life and feel a very strong connection to God. So I agree, prayer and
reliance on God is #1. I also believe through helping others (which this
video will do) helps us 10 fold. I try not to keep my struggles to myself,
because when I do, the fear builds with the isolation. #3 I was happy to
hear you are returning to exercise, that also will help tremendiously
(sp??) I am really looking forward to more videos esp your great recipes
and exercise routine. Take a break from having kids for awhile and claim
back yourself~Geese! Sorry I have 4 kids all 11, and 15 months apart, they
    are teens now~such fun!

  9. Praise the Lord for prayer! I struggle with the same kinds of sins. One
thing that really helps me is listening to sermons from sermon audio.
Especially Voddie Baucham “dealing with doubt”.

  10. my prayers are there for you dana. i had it with my 1st kid. overcome with
my parent’s help n god. just left my baby to my mom n spent more than an
hour in temple…though different religion i believe wat u say….

  11. Thank you so much for sharing, Dana. You brought me to tears. There is such
beauty in your honesty and vulnerability. I was immediately led to pray for
you. May the oil of gladness be poured upon you and may every struggle that
you endure become a testimony of God’s faithfulness and goodness in your
life. May you always be a vessel used to glorify the Lord.

  12. Hi Dana! Thanks for sharing with us. I know that was very hard. You have
been through alot, and by the grace of God, pulled through it. You looked
very happy at the end, after getting that load off your chest.

    like you’re doing a fantastic job!xx

  15. I’m a Christian and have been on meds in the past for anxiety. Being on
medication does not preclude getting to the root of depression and anxiety
or cultivating skills or methods to overcome it,. Being on medication does
not preclude prayer and reading Scripture. The Lord also works through
medication, which is sometimes needed. It’s a “tool” in a toolbox. For some
people medication is helpful. For me, it helped me to simply calm my mind
so I could focus on Bible verses. While I haven’t been on meds for years,
I’m thankful for them as they helped me so much. It seems like there is
much misunderstanding of medication, especially in Christian circles. They
may not be for everyone who battles anxiety and depression, but they are
helpful for some people. If someone is taking medication for high blood
pressure, no one accuses them of not relying on God. The Lord is still the
One who heals. Prayer and Scripture-100% necessary-and to that I say Amen!

  16. No body around me believes in God but I do. I will pray for you! You are
the best mom ever! Maybe one day somebody will do it for me too! 🙂 Sorry

  18. What a blessing this video has been for me today! Thank you for your
honesty about your struggles with depression. I will pray for you! You
being so honest will help so many others! Lord Bless sister in Christ!

  19. I hope you are doing better. I haven’t checked on your channel for awhile
and didn’t know you were struggling with postpartum depression. I’m not
sure if you’re still struggling with this but if you are follow James 5:13
Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing
psalms. 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the
church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of
    the Lord:

Take some pure olive oil, put it in a vial, pray over it to be used for
anointing, and have elders lay hands over you in prayer and anoint you.

Vitamins B12 complex and fish oil will also help you, lemon grass,
peppermint are also good for depression.

I’m going to watch the remainder of your videos and see how you’re doing.
God bless you and don’t forget to put on the whole armour of God.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the
power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able
to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against
flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the
rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be
able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand
therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the
breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of
the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye
shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the
helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and
    watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
